Where can I go salsa dancing in Puerto Rico?
I will be taking a trip to Puerto Rico this summer and would like to try some salsa dancing while I am there. I am an intermediate salsa dancer. Anyone know where to go for this?
The Puerto Rico Salsa Congress will be having events between July 18th-25th in San Juan. There will be lots of places to dance Salsa during this time.

The Nuyorican Cafe has live music, sometimes salsa. Also the big hotels like El San Juan have music & dancing in their bars. Or you can just go down San Sebastian Street until you find a bar with Salsa. Enjoy

There is always a debate where I come from,when it comes to salsa
music.Puerto Ricans say that salsa started in Puerto Rico,and Cubans say that salsa started in Cuba.There is a very old saying
that Cubans and Puerto Ricans are like the two feathers from the
same eagle,which means that we are the same people, but different

Yeah Salsa music was actually started back in the ’60s and ’70s in New York City by Puerto Rican AND Cuban immigrants. Many Latin musicians in New York City were Puerto Rican, and it was these performers who innovated the style now known as salsa music, based largely off Cuban(Mambo and Chachacha) and Puerto Rican(Bomba) music. Also it is influenced by African American Jazz.
